Description

Built by workers, not marketers

Meet the Trapper 22, 5-baffle rimfire rifle suppressor by Hush Tech — the only silencer (aka “can”) with enough blue-collar attitude to borrow your tape measure, critique your ratchet-strap technique, reorganize your workbench “the right way,” and still get invited to deer camp. Offered in .17 or .22 caliber, and in 5-baffle (this one) or 10-baffle versions, the Trapper uses individual screw-together baffles that come apart with the same energy as a seasoned tradesman saying, “Move. You’re making this take longer than it needs to.”

  • 6″ long with endcap
  • Approx. 5.5 oz

The Trapper-17 handles .17 HMR, .17 Mach 2, .17 WSM, and even the oddball .17 PMC/Aguila. The Trapper-22 covers .22 Short, .22 Long, .22 LR, and .22 Magnum.

And for both models, it’s simple: pistol or rifle — doesn’t matter. If it’s rimfire in the right caliber family, the Trapper clocks in without complaining. No decoder ring required — if it says .17 or .22 rimfire, you’re good.

And here’s the part that makes modular guys grin: Buy a 10-baffle and build anything from a 1-baffle to a full 10-baffle can. Buy a 5-baffle and build anything from a 1-baffle to a full 5-baffle can. Make it exactly what you want — it’s your can, not ours.

And just so nobody has to email us later: 5.7×28 is not rimfire. So no — we don’t rate the Trapper for it.

Each baffle starts as tough 7075 aluminum and gets a proprietary finish that delivers real-world advantages:

  • Increased surface hardness
  • Lubricity
  • Corrosion resistance
  • Low coefficient of friction

7075 aluminum is considered a high-grade, high-strength aluminum alloy, among the strongest available. It’s widely used in aerospace, firearms, and other high-stress applications because of its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio. All Hush Tech metals are American-sourced, not imported.

Put together, that means this: it cleans up like a non-stick frying pan — wipe, done, back to stirring the pot.

Meanwhile, some competitors are still building raw, soft aluminum cores that cling to carbon like it’s the last donut in the breakroom and they’ve already hidden it under a paper towel. The Trapper doesn’t play that game — it shrugs off fouling instead of soaking it up.

Pricing that feels like the accountant was out back arguing with the forklift operator:

Tough, modular, easygoing, and built with the same attitude as the guy who fixes the skid steer again because “no one else does it right,” the Trapper is made for folks who punch a clock, fix their own stuff, and don’t have patience for gear that acts fancy. It works hard, cleans easy, and talks smack the whole time — just like the crew at Hush Tech who built it.
